1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the JahKnow API (the "Service"), operated by WebSoQuick at api.websoquick.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including free-tier users and future paid subscribers.

2. The Service

JahKnow API provides a REST API that allows developers to send requests to a self-hosted AI language model. The Service includes:

• An OpenAI-compatible API endpoint (/v1/chat/completions)
• A customer dashboard for managing API keys and monitoring usage
• Usage tracking and rate limiting infrastructure

3. API Keys and Account Security

When you receive an API key, you are responsible for keeping it secure:

• Never share your API key publicly or in code repositories
• API keys are shown in plaintext only once at creation — store them securely
• You are responsible for all requests made with your key
• If you suspect your key has been compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard

We reserve the right to revoke any key used in violation of these Terms without prior notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Service to:

• Generate, distribute, or facilitate illegal content
• Produce spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk communications
• Harass, threaten, or harm any individual or group
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication mechanisms
• Reverse-engineer, probe, or attack the Service infrastructure
• Impersonate other individuals or organisations
• Generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

5. Rate Limits

The Service enforces daily request limits based on your plan:

• Free tier: 100 requests per day
• Pro tier: 1,000 requests per day (coming soon)
• Scale tier: 10,000 requests per day (coming soon)

Limits reset daily at midnight UTC. Attempting to bypass rate limits — through key rotation, automated requests, or other means — is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

6. Service Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We aim for high availability but make no guarantees of uptime, particularly for free-tier users. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to infrastructure issues.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or service changes.

7. Modifications to Plans and Pricing

Plan limits and pricing for future paid tiers are subject to change. Existing paid subscribers (once billing is enabled) will be given at least 30 days' notice of material pricing changes.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you send to the Service (your prompts). We make no claim over your inputs or the AI-generated outputs returned to you.

The Service, its infrastructure, branding, and code remain the property of WebSoQuick. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service itself.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebSoQuick shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $0 for free-tier users).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by revoking all keys from your dashboard and emailing us at [email protected].

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
