2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you request API access, we collect:

• Your name (used to identify your account)
• Your email address (used to deliver your API key and account communications)
• An API key we generate for you (stored as a SHA-256 hash — the plaintext key is shown only once)

Usage Data

For every API request you make, we log the following metadata:

• Timestamp of the request
• API endpoint accessed (e.g., /v1/chat/completions)
• Response status code (e.g., 200, 429)
• Estimated token count
• Response latency in milliseconds
• A masked prefix of your API key (for rate limiting)

We do not log or store the content of your prompts or AI responses. Prompt data is processed in memory and discarded after the response is returned.

Technical Data

Our infrastructure may automatically capture standard server-side data including IP addresses and HTTP headers. This is used for security monitoring and abuse prevention only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate API requests using your key
• To enforce plan-based rate limits
• To provide your usage dashboard
• To contact you about your account or service changes
• To detect and prevent abuse

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

We may disclose data only in the following circumstances:

• If required by law or a valid legal process
• To prevent imminent harm or fraudulent activity
• With your explicit written consent

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on private servers. We use industry-standard practices to protect it:

• API keys are hashed with SHA-256 before storage — the original key cannot be recovered
• All traffic is encrypted in transit via TLS (HTTPS)
• Access to the database is restricted to authorised system processes only

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your key has been compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard and contact us.

6. Data Retention

Usage logs (metadata only) are retained for up to 90 days for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Account information (name, email) is retained for as long as your account is active.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The dashboard stores your API key in browser sessionStorage solely to keep you signed in during your session. This is cleared when you close the browser tab or sign out.

8. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
